Wine & Chocolate Weekend

Friday through Sunday, February 10th-12th.

Wine and chocolate- nothing goes together better! The Sunnyslope Wine Trail will celebrate this classic couple over a romantic weekend. During this open house weekend, each winery or restaurant will be offering something a little different and a lot special. Tasting fees may apply and are set by the individual wineries. Participants must be over 21. Please use a designated driver: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Mardi Gras on the Slope

Saturday, February 25th.

Embrace the spirit of Mardi Gras! Dress-Up and enjoy a scenic road trip through Sunnyslope Wine Trail to collect beads at all participating locations. Guests in costume will have a chance to WIN IT ALL (fame, popularity, and a bottle of Huston Vineyards 2014 Chicken Dinner White Wine) by posting a photo of themselves in costume on the trail during the event (details below).
Stop at the Orchard House (7 am to 9 pm) and The Sandbar (7 am to 3 pm) before or after your adventures to enjoy a taste of New Orleans. There is no cost to participate and no purchase necessary. Individual wine tasting fees at each location may apply. Participants must be over the age of 21. Please use a designated driver- DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
Costume Contest: Submit a photo of yourself in costume along the Sunnyslope Wine Trail and post to Facebook or Instagram using #SSWTMardiGras2017. Only photos posted on February 25th, 2017 will be considered. He/She with the most "likes" by Tuesday, February 28th will be crowned the winner of the costume contest. (Tagging of winery location and Sunnyslope Wine Trail encouraged!)

Luck O' the Leprechaun Poker Run

Saturday, March 18th.

You don't have to be Irish to enjoy the green rolling hills in the Sunnyslope area of Idaho. While touring wineries and restaurants in Sunnyslope, guests can try their hand at a running game of poker. Each player will draw a playing card at five of the participating locations to build their poker hand. The highest hand following standard poker rules will win a gift basket, valued at $100, filled with select wines and gift cards. No purchase necessary to participate or draw a card. The prize will be awarded on March 20th by the Sunnyslope Wine Trail. Participants must be over 21. Designated drivers are encouraged: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Bud to Blossom Photo Contest

April through May.

Sunnyslope is picture perfect when the orchards are in bloom and the fields are a patchwork-quilt of colors. This is a great time to drive out and enjoy all that the scenic Sunnyslope Wine Trail has to offer. Invite your friends and family to tour this beautiful countryside. Bring your sense of adventure and your camera! Showcase your favorite shot on Sunnyslope Wine Trail's Facebook page for a chance to win a fantastically floral and wine-rific themed gift basket. Only submissions posted with #sunnyslopewinetrail will be considered! The winner will be announced the first week of June. There is no cost to enter the contest. Participants must be over 21. Designated drivers are encouraged: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Wine & Art in the Park

Saturday, May 6th.

The Sunnyslope Wine Trail will partnering with the Marsing Chamber of Commerce and the Bureau of Land Management on their Wine & Art in the Park event. Drive out to the trail to see the splendor of spring colors and stay to see the amazing work of numerous local artists and why not try some local wine while you are here. Enjoy a glass of wine and the local art culture while soaking in the views of the scenic Snake River. All attendees having wine will be required to show ID. Designated drivers are encouraged: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Mom's Weekend on the Trail

Friday through Sunday, May 12th-14th.

The Sunnyslope Wine Trail thinks that Moms rock! We know you do too. So, we invite you to bring your mother out to the trail for this open-house weekend. Each winery will be offering something a little different: concerts, complimentary flowers, special tastings, and more. Tasting fees my apply and are set by the individual wineries. Idaho Wine Month

Month of June.

In May of 2009 Governor Butch Otter declared June Idaho Wine Month to encourage local consumers to drink local! Look to local restaurants, retail stores, and wine shops to offer specials during the month of June. Don't miss some of the great wine events and specials offered by wineries. But most importantly make sure you celebrate Idaho Wine Month by toasting to life with a delicious glass of Idaho Wine!

Sunnyslope Wine Trail Festival

Friday, August 4th, 6-9 pm.
Held at the Train Depot Plaza in downtown Caldwell, ID.
Tickets: $20/ID Wine Month, $25/Pre-Sale Online, $30/At the Gate Ticket Includes a Commemorative Sunnyslope Wine Trail glass.

Take the short drive our to the Sunnyslope Wine Trail for an awesome Idaho Wine experience! All the wineries of the Sunnyslope Wine Trail will gather together for an evening filled with music at the Caldwell Train Depot in historic downtown Caldwell. Grab a bite of local food and sip on some wine from any of the participating wineries. All attendees will be required to show ID. Designated drivers are encouraged: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
